GemScore ("we", "our", or "us") is a sports card scanning and collection management app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
- Card images: Photos you take or upload are sent to our AI service (Anthropic Claude) to identify and grade cards. Images are not stored on our servers.
- Collection data: Card details, prices, and grades you save are stored in Firebase Firestore under an anonymous user ID.
- Anonymous identifier: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to sync your data across app sessions without requiring an account.
- Purchase information: Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
- Usage counters: We track the number of scans and grades performed per month to enforce free tier limits.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To identify and grade sports cards via AI analysis
- To sync your card collection across devices
- To enforce free tier usage limits and manage Pro subscriptions
- To display live market prices from eBay
3. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic Claude – AI card identification and grading (images sent for processing, not retained)
- Firebase (Google) – Database and anonymous authentication
- RevenueCat – Subscription management
- eBay Browse API – Live market pricing data
4. Data Retention
Your collection data is stored in Firebase until you delete the app or request deletion. Card images are processed in real-time and not retained by our servers.
5. Children's Privacy
GemScore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Since we use anonymous authentication, uninstalling the app effectively removes access to your data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
